What’s New – Week of June 8

Written by

Hello all, I have a couple of posts planned in the next week or two, but in the meantime here is an update on what’s been going on for the last week, and coming up in the next.

June 10 – Noon at The Bad Alibi Restaurant – Urbanism Club Meetup

Many of you have RSVPed already, if you can come we’d love to see you at the Bad Alibi (on Jeanne d’Arc S).

The next regular (monthly) meeting of the Urbanism Club is June 24th. Join the mailing list to get the invite:

New Video: I’m tired of excuses – Getting across Jeanne d’Arc Blvd – Urbanist Reacts

Last week, I put out a new video all about new pedestrian crossing I am proposing to cross Jeanne d’Arc Blvd N next to Fire Station 52.

Video Recommendations

Some great videos I can recommend came out in the last week or two. Here are my top recommendations:

Family Bike Ride – Kidical Mass Orleans

On June 13 at 10 AM, community associations across Orleans will be hosting family bike rides in their neighbourhoods. We’d love to see you out there, I will be leading the ride in Convent Glen North, starting from Father Richard Ward Park. RSVP to any of the rides on Eventbrite: Orléans Family Bike Rides (Kidical Mass).

If you don’t have kids but would still like to help out, we could still use a few volunteers at Convent Glen North, and other rides if those are closer to where you are.

Notable Replies

  1. Hoping the weather cooperates with everyone who wants to attend today, then. :face_with_medical_mask:

  2. I’ll be biking for sure but will end up variably wet depending on conditions.
