This is a space we’ve set aside for re-imagining our suburban streets as vibrant, integrated neighbourhoods. This project explores what a ‘Suburban Village’ looks like. It’s the intentional weaving of essential, small-scale local businesses like grocers, cafes, and hardware stores directly into existing residential blocks. It’s denser housing that doesn’t overwhelm neighbours or stick out as radically different. We aim to visualize a future where a short walk from your front door connects you with daily necessities, fostering true walkability, a stronger sense of place, and deeper community support.
